The SPRC is comprised of the City Planner, Building Inspector, Engineer, Fire Chief, Health Inspector, Conservation Commissioner, DPW Superintendent, and a traffic representative from the Police Department. The composition of the SPRC is mandated by the City Zoning Ordinance; and it meets every Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM in the Council Chambers on the second floor of City Hall. The purpose of the SPRC is to ensure that the design and layout of new commercial, industrial and residential developments will not be detrimental to the neighborhoods and environment of the City of Revere. It provides zoning and building review, and imposes appropriate conditions concerning the siting of buildings, parking areas, and access/egress points to/from proposed projects, sewerage facilities, water supply facilities and fire safety facilities. Site Plan Review is required for all new construction projects over 1,000 gross square feet of building area.
