What is the Commission on Disabilities?
The mission of the Revere Commission on Disabilities is to increase opportunities and remove barriers for people with disabilities by facilitating full and equal participation in all aspects of life within the City of Revere. It works toward compliance with Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act. With this in mind, the Commission will help influence public policy by advising and working with all departments within the city on issues impacting persons with disabilities and their families, educating and informing all residents on disability issues and increasing opportunities for persons with disabilities to reach their maximum potential in independence, human development, productivity, and self-sufficiency.
