The effect of FEMAs authority in the City of Revere is both in providing financial assistance to both the City and property owners in rebuilding structures damaged by flooding and protecting property from flooding by setting building standards that must be complied with in flood prone areas in order to be insurable for flood damage. The areas of jurisdiction are shown in the Flood Insurance Rate Maps last revised March 16, 2016.
